Abaita is a new 40 seats kosher restaurant in Midtown East Manhattan looking for an energetic and motivated candidate for the General Manager position.

The General Manager coordinates everything that relates to the quality of the service of abaita.

The position covers items related to the FOH and BOH, trainings, close attention to the team, to service, to the dining room and working areas. Inventory and ordering. Confers with food preparation and other personnel from the dining room, to plan any related activities. Oversees cleaning and maintenance of equipment and facilities and ensures that all health and safety regulations are adhered to. Directs hiring, assignment, training and motivation of personnel. Investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints. May develop marketing strategy, and implement advertising and promotional campaigns to increase business. May review financial transactions and monitor budget to ensure efficient operation and to ensure expenditures stay within budget limitations. But not limited to.

A flexible schedule is a must, since the Manager would float between lunch and dinner shifts.

We request references amd 4 years of experience, hospitality degree is a plus.

But character is no less important than experience. Someone energetic, precise, positive and integral are qualities that we would like to see.
