For more information, visit amplify.com.The Associate Director, Supplementals will be part of the Customer Impact and Acquisition team (a subset within the Supplementals division). CIA teammates live in the middle of Product, Marketing, Sales, Partner Success, and Operations, and are focused on customer and user acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and upsell.This role also has broader business and strategy responsibilities beyond the scope of CIA.The Associate Director will act as a deputy to the General Manager, Supplementals, partnering on go to market strategy, product market fit, and business leadership. This includes joining the GM during key meetings, taking notes, acting as thought partner for strategic decisions (performing various types of analyses and anticipating downstream implications), and working in the field to represent our products and close deals.The ideal candidate is customer-obsessed, commercially-minded, a big-picture thinker who is also able to zoom in on details, curious, and analytical with an ability to partner closely with cross-functional teammates. An entrepreneurial attitude is a must, seen through a commitment to driving top-line goals, protecting the bottom-line, and supporting the GM and team members in whatever capacity necessary.ResponsibilitiesGo to Market StrategyCollaborate with cross-functional partners and bring together customer and market insights, financial data, and analytics to develop and refine data-driven growth strategies and Go-to-Market plan for Amplify Reading with the GM; identify new opportunitiesDefine, develop and execute against the long-term vision, business roadmap and Go-To-Market plan across assigned strategic growth initiatives for Amplify Reading with the GM. Ensure the right mechanisms are in place to measure success and maintain transparencyPerform quantitative and qualitative analysis to support conclusions and influence decisions, including market segmentation and sizing, market trend and competitive landscape analyses, business and financial modeling, operations analyses, etc.Perform routine pipeline analysis and address key market issues and strategic gapsBusiness LeadershipTranslate elements of strategy into specific business initiatives, develop business cases for them, and develop tools to measure and evaluate them. Lead and manage initiative executionDevelop recommendations on select major strategic decisions based on financial models and analysis, customer needs, market landscape, and alignment with strategic priorities of the businessDrive thought leadership for key initiatives critical to long-term growthWrite effective narratives, compelling presentations, and clear deliverables to convey plans and proposals to broader teams and senior leadershipWork with GM to develop annual budget and mid-year reforecast. Manage financial analysis and work with other departments to track monthly P&L against budget/reforecastAccompany GM to business unit planning meetings with leadership, take notes, provide thought partnership, and assist in next stepsManage workstreams with Strategic Finance AnalystPricingWork with COO, EVP Sales, and GM to set and evolve pricing strategy for SupplementalsWork with Sales and GM to create custom pricing strategies as neededDevelop and sign off on discounting based on financial analysisMarketing and Sales EnablementServe as an internal business champion for Amplify Reading, driving the campaign to train, empower and motivate Amplify Sales to sell the productContribute to the creation of marketing strategies and materials, regularly contributing market feedback into the evolution, and participate in marketing initiatives (e.g., market research, conferences)Be generative of sales by helping reps win deals: develop relationships, perform ride-alongs with reps, deliver pitches, present at conferences, and partner with the sales team in selling SupplementalsSynthesize lessons learned from participating in sales to inform strategy, roadmapping and product-market fit initiatives and researchProduct Market FitDrive research to validate new product ideas with the market: work with User Research to identify key product-market fit questions and develop approaches to answer them; ensure questions are answered and outcomes shared with teamDesign product market fit initiatives and partner with User Research in execution.
