This is a strategic role that serves as the link between Sales, Trade Marketing, as well as, Supply Chain and Finance teams. This individual is responsible for planning gross to net sales to help manage commercial P&L with finance and develop Sales & Marketing Initiatives to grow top line own store and departments store retail sales with the SVP & AVP of Planning, Sales, Retailers, internal operations and inventory teams to ensure we can achieve commitment to plans. Along with the planning responsibilities this role is required to execute on a number of operational tasks that ensure we have the proper allocations for both basic and launch items, strong communication skills (both written and verbal) are a necessity. Close Collaboration with within the National Accounts (Commercial) team and across other teams is also a must to ensure consistency and success in this role.
In partnership with SVP of Sales and AVP of Planning strategically plan and forecast sales and marketing strategies to exceed sales plan for own stores and department store accounts
Build strong collaborative partnerships with internal account managers, Retailer planning teams, Marketing and PR teams
Forecast NPD buy and sell plans for own store and department store accounts
Identify replenishment needs by analysing topline, categorical, and by location sales and inventory levels for own store and department stores
Manage sales to stock ratios and partner with retailers on reorders and returns
Partner with finance team to manage sales and returns % to achieve company net sales
Work closely with demand planning and supply chain on retail and net sales forecasts to ensure inventory is being procured to maximize performance
Build and maintain strong partnerships with field teams
Achieve yearly sales plan, net shipment budget and return budget
Account set up and maintenance including working with Accounts Payable and Finance
Allocations planning for both new and existing SKUs and work closely with demand planning/Supply Chain to ensure we are holistically planning appropriate stock levels
Work collaboratively with internal dot com team to ensure proper strategic plans are in place to grow dot com business in competitive environment.
Partner with internal dot com team to align on own store strategies
Who will you work with:
You will work closely with the National Accounts (Commercial) team, internal account managers, Retailer planning teams, Marketing and PR teams, Finance, Supply Chain and across other teams. You will report into our AVP of Planning.
You will be:
Bachelor s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and years of experience
7+ years of retail planning and/or retail finance experience required
Must demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills as well as analytics
Must have advanced Excel and PP skills all Office tools a must
Demonstrated success of building winning partnerships with Sales leadership and retailers
Ability to lead and develop manager level employees
Willing to travel to the west coast 4-8x/year
