Job DescriptionPOSITION OVERVIEWPrimarily responsible for administrative and sales support to one or more Sr. Loan Officers whose primary responsibility is to originate first mortgages for Investors Home Mortgage.RESPONSIBILITIESUnderstands lending laws and regulations and IHM's lending policies and guidelines. Understands and complies with all lending laws and regulations such as TRID, ECOA, TILA, FCRA, HMDA, BSA/AML, etc.; Completes all responsibilities within lending guidelines; and Communicates with customers about lending regulations and guidelines.Under the direction of the Loan Officer, reviews, maintains and works the Loan Officer Pipeline. Reviews the pipeline for inaccurate information; Updates the pipeline as needed; and Works the pipeline to identify tasks to be completed on the application.Continues to stay on top of applications through the loan life cycle, assisting both the customer and the IHM team as needed. Orders appraisals; Locks a loan; Completes a Change of Circumstance; and Assists with gathering information necessary for disclosures, processing and closing as needed.Goes the extra mile to ensure that the Company's customers are comfortable, knowledgeable and being given the best products and services to match and meet their needs. Proactively solicits information from customers about their personal financial and banking needs; Reaches out to customers even when there is not an upcoming sale; Follows up on customer communication.Effectively builds ongoing relationships with multiple contacts including, customers, employees, peers and superiors to create a professional network through proactive communication. Proactively meets people who could bring meaning or value to his/her network; Leverages existing contacts to meet new contacts; and Maximizes relationships within his/her network.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESProcessors, Underwriters, Loan ClosersCustomers, Closing agentsRequirementsHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent2 years of banking or other related experienceMust be able to build both internal and external partnerships at all levels, influence others to accomplish goals and resolve conflictsMust exhibit superior communication skills, both written and verbalMust work effectively with little supervision/guidance and complete tasks accurately and on time in a fast paced environmentExperience with Microsoft Office Suite requiredDesired: College degree1-2 years of experience supporting a residential mortgage sales team, including a demonstrated knowledge of mortgage guidelines such as TRID, ECOA, TILA, FCRA, HMDA, BSA/AML, etc.NMLS license
