Regional Director - Distribution Sales
Key Functions and Responsibilities
Key areas of responsibility are:Distributor Support: Provide secondary level of support including dealing with complex and sensitive distributor issues including data dissemination policies. Revenue Generation: Drive revenue growth within the distributor channel aligned with performance goals and consistent with stated corporate strategy. Sales & Finance Administration: Develop reports that allow FTSE Russell to better understand, capture, manage and forecast distributor-related revenue. This includes developing metrics that help in assessing distributor and downstream client satisfaction levels. Team Administration: Coordinate with FTSE Russell Global Sales teams on downstream client initiatives and projects associated with related distributor. Usage Administration: Work closely with distributor and associated products to implement policy and monitor usage of FTSE Russell proprietary content in distributor products and distribution platforms. Market Intelligence: Provide market intelligence to Sales and Content Management team on downstream users of distributors to help FTSE Russell reach clients in more creative and direct manner.
It is expected with limited supervision the candidate will be able to deliver each of the key objectives of the role identified above. It is therefore expected that he or she will have:Strong communication and excellent organisational skills required5+ years prior experience within financial services is requiredExperience creating & deploying initiatives that are tailored towards strategic client accounts.Strong sales and/or client service experience with distributors and/or sell-side, buy –side investment organizations required.Experience with sales process and related metric reporting within a content services organization preferred4+ years contract negotiation experience a mustSolid oral communication skills, particularly telephone and written communication;Knowledge of FTSE products and processes a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Windows including Outlook, Word, Power-point and Excel, with emphasis on use of layout and appearance of printed workMBA level education with strategy course work preferred
