Quantitative Research and Portfolio Analyst
Duties: Perform quantitative research to utilizing skills such as linear regressions, simulation, mathematical risk control techniques, and optimization methods. Introduce new approaches by developing and prototyping effective tools using technology including Python, R, Excel VBA, and C#. Develop and maintain equity risk models (multi-factor / statistical trading strategies) and utilize portfolio optimization tools to test strategies in a realistic trading environment. Perform daily operational and analytical functions with regards to the Multi-Factor Equity Strategies including monitoring, optimizing and rebalancing, and trading portfolios. Provide support to the investment operations team by helping to identify, create, and implement automation in daily processes. Assess clients' financial objectives and research, develop recommendations, and prepare plans to action to assist in establishing individualized investment strategies. Provide support to the client advisory team by developing tools and using analytical skills to answer client queries. Conduct research and analyses on macroeconomic variables and trends. Undertake a variety of ad hoc projects to support investment and risk management.
Requirements: Master's degree in Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field of study , and two years of experience as Financial Analyst. Requires two years of experience in programming in R, Python and C#; Excel with specific experience programming in VBA; using and/or creating optimization tools; and doing quantitative research.

Hours: M-F, 40 hours/week
