Soho Diner will be a 24 hour restaurant located in the Soho Grand Hotel serving refined classic diner fare using great quality ingredients and modern flare.
We are looking for experienced Sous Chefs to work closely with our Executive Chef to maintain and improve on the successful day to day running of the back of the house. Staff of about 25.
Candidates should have extensive experience in casual and fine dining management, high volume production as well as cost control.
A Solid understanding of contemporary and classic technique required.
Familiarity with seasonal product and local vendors a plus. Reverence for quality product a must.
Positive attitude and good team building skills imperative.
Ability to problem solve, maintain and improve upon systems a must.
Must be able you lead by example and seriously cook.
Must have Food Handlers Certificate or to obtain one within a month on starting.
Day to day Sous responsibilities include:
--Management of all Kitchen staff
--Supervising the cleanliness, sanitation standards and organization of the Kitchen
--Quality control & maintaining high standards
--Supporting the Line as necessary
--Collaborating on Daily Specials
--Training of staff
