Job Description

Responsible for overall management of operational, clinical, administrative and financial aspects of the Philips Family Cancer center including physician exam/practice and Article 28A Infusion Suite. This role works closely with clinical and administrative staff to lead the delivery of cancer care at this site,coordinating with Southampton Hospital Leadership and Stony Brook Cancer Center leadership toward this goal.

Responsible for day to day on-site management of clinical and business aspects of care delivery, staffing, financial management and regulatory activities.

Establishes efficient internal procedures to manage the center's clinical workflow and procedures, working with various clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.

Responsible for HR components including recruitment, staff orientation, performance management and maintains personnel records in accordance with Hospital policies and procedures in collaboration with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.

Manages operating and capital budgets, staffign and resources. Provides reqular reporting of same.

Identifies and leads performance improvement initiatives.

Develops metrics and participates in established standardized metrics for cancer center and hospital operations, quality and finances within Stony Brook Cancer Center and Southampton Hospital.

Develops efficient workflows from patient's first call through the course of care and survivorship-works to establish seamless workflow with Patient Call Center, Revenue Cycle stakeholders and site practice and treatment areas.

Establishes a culture of \"patient first\" and identifies areas for improvement relative to patient experience. Works with Southampton Hospital Leadership, Stony Brook Cancer Center Leadership and on-site stakeholders at all levels toward this goal.

Acts a a visible leader on-site and works toward teambuilding and staff engagement in the delivery of care. Has excellent interpersonal skills and exercises a high level of emotional intelligence and critical thinking to resolve issues and improve services. Cooperates with all levels of staff and with both internal and external stakeholders including government agencies, vendors, community stakeholders, etc.

Works with leadership to develop new clinical programs both on and off-site.

Participates in marketing strategies, including visits off-site to referrign physicians, off hours and weekend activities in the community and other events as need to grow business or incease access to patients.

Performs other related duties on and off-site; may include occasional evenings or weekends related to new site openings or community events.

Job Requirements & Qualifications

Master's Degree in Healthcare Management, Healthcare Administration or related field required.

5-7 years of experience in Healthcare Administration required.

Cancer Outpatient Practice and Hospital Ambulatory settings experience strongly preferred.

Exceptional interpersonal skills required.

Exceptional financial and analytical skills required, including budget management, business planning and monitoring.

Exceptional operational skills, with experience leading high performing teams.
