Job Description The Director of Health and Safety is responsible for implementing and maintaining hospital policies adhering to local, state, federal environmental health and safety regulations, participates in the design and development of facilities, work areas and work procedures and makes health and safety recommendations accordingly. Prepares, maintains and updates health and safety, and environmental policies and procedures manual. Ensures compliance with all environmental health safety regulations, and keeps abreast to any changes to laws and regulations that impact the organization. Serves as contact / liaison with all federal, state and local regulatory bodies. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field Minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare Minimum of five (5) years of experience in subject matter associated with the Environment of Care, Life Safety or Emergency Management Strong interpersonal skills and a professional experience.
