Think Coffee is currently seeking an enthusiastic and talented individual to join our baking team!
This position is a wonderful growth opportunity for the right candidate.
Our in-house baking staff makes everything from scratch on a seasonal menu.
We bake muffins, scones, cookies, cakes, and our menu is expanding rapidly!
Bakers applying for this position must have a degree in pastry or a minimum of two years
experience in a professional kitchen. This is a part-time position, and shifts can start as early as
Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Baking of pastries
-Preparation of batters and doughs
-Ensuring completion of daily food preparation and timeliness in production
-Basic kitchen maintenance
-Professional kitchen experience and basic baking/pastry technique
-Availability to work early mornings and weekends
-Ability to work alone or with little supervision
-Ability to follow recipes exactly as they are written
-Willingness to take direction and accept constructive criticism
-Be focused and punctual
-Have a good attitude
-Flexibility in scheduling
-Knowledge of health hazards in food preparation and service
-A NYC Food Handlers Certificate (or willingness to get one during your training period)
-Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods of time
-Fluent in English
